Portuguese official representation for the Prague Quadriennal (PQ23) - Student Exhibition
“We chose to use our time to produce a space where you can pause. In resistance against contemporary acceleration, we invite an assembly of people to perform the “rare” act of consciously slowing down or even stopping. A receptacle for bodies, woven slowly and under permanent (re)construction, the resting assembly becomes a hammock, a cocoon, a mesh that activates desire and a claim to (potentially productive) acts of rest.
This performative installation – a place-manifest – is the final stage of HODO: Unique Journeys project, led by the Portuguese Association of Scenography’s curators. It echoes the Sum of the different steps and rare encounters involving schools, students and partners on a (un)precedented national journey."
