“HOU8E is a photography project that takes as its starting point the 8th house in the astral spectrum. Scorpio, visceral, and under the influence of Pluto, the planet of transformation and change, the 8th house governs all beginnings and all endings. In the words of photographer Margarida Rodrigues, House 8 is "a visual treatise on sexuality" or "a scopophilic study of spiritual pornography." Framed only by a brief preface, the entire narrative of the book is expressed through the sequence of photographs and their arrangement.
Using a remarkable technique of deconstructing bodies and settings, the discourse unfoldsthrough a journey that seeks to graphically transcribe the sequence birth-life-death.”

“Talking about one shooting session in particular I would like to mention the one about the Birth of the Universe. Margarida told me about the concept, she explained to me that the actress Isabel Abreu was going to be naked on the beach, with some roots painted on her naked body, surround by a puddle of blood and lots of sand. I immediately thought we could do a sort of extension of those roots, what was for me, kind of an extension of the space itself. I think it’s very important to send this message. Nowadays humans are disconnected from each other – unfocused on the essential. In fact, we are all connected - we are all, continuity. That meant a lot to me; to see that feminine figure intertwined with the space and that’s what I did." - Miguel Morazzo, 2017
